The local Golden Gals district 2 is proud to announce that they have been selected to host the 43rd Golden Gals Curling Provincial Championship. The event will run from Thursday, November 26th to Sunday, November 29th in Dauphin at the Parkland Recreation Complex.
We invite all eligible players to participate in district playdowns. Membership or affiliation with a club isn't required, nor is a competitive card. Teams can have players from anywhere within the district, provided they're turning 60 that year. (Leads can be 55-59 years old.) Each player is limited to competing in one district per season.
The province is divided into 12 districts, each hosting playoffs at the beginning of November. The winning teams from these playoffs, 16 in total, move on to compete at the provincial championship. Each curling game consists of eight ends, with a maximum of two games per day.
